Tell me something good.

That’s not really a good explanation of this post, but when Chaka Khan gets in your head, you can’t get her out. Am I right or am I right?

[Oh Monday. You're gonna be a random one. I can tell already.]

I spent all day Saturday at theĀ Killer Tribes conference and it was awesome and I’ll tell you all about it soon.

But do you know one of the hugest take aways for me?

I kept thinking about how much I really like you.

My friends who read here every day are a special bunch and I’m really grateful for you.

Today, I’d like to come to your blog and read a post you really love. I feel like I don’t know all of you as well as I’d like and I’ve got a lot of time today to peruse the internet and read what you are writing.

So if you have a blog, I want you to leave a link in the comments below to a great post you’ve written recently. That way, I can read up on how you are and the other folks that gather at this corner of the internet sky can do the same.

Remember to link DIRECTLY to the post.

It’s not self-centered to do this. It’s sharing who you are with us. Tis a good thing, my friend.

I’ll start.

This is my very favorite Top 5 Friday post: my favorite books.

[See how I linked to the post, not just the blog? Yeah. Do that.]

Your turn! Share with all of us a good post from your blog and we’ll all pop over and check it out!

Great idea Annie! I am linking a post that received a lot of feed-back,… and is a little uncharacteristic of me as a writer. :) Love reading your words.
Cannot wait to hear about Killer Tribes!

I honestly can’t recall if you’ve ever read my blog, but I’m curious if this recent post resonates with you from having lived abroad:

We’re at VERY different stages of life, and goodness knows I could be YOUR MOTHER…but I can’t help but wonder if you experienced any of this while in Scotland. Of course, our travel reasons were different, but I wonder…..

  9. April 02, 2012 at 9:32 am

    Hey Annie!

Is it weird that when I read your status on Facebook “I want to read your blog”, in my head I heard “I vant to suck your blood”. Weird… anyway…

I’ve been quite a slacker blogger lately, but I thought you might like this oldie but goodie from last year.

Hope you have a happy Monday!

  10. April 02, 2012 at 9:36 am

Okay, this is a little intimidating because I LOVE reading your stuff, but I never comment. I also love reading my own blog because God too often uses my own words to smack me in the face about myself. So to what shall I link you? Something that sounds like I know what I’m doing as a writer or a believer? Or something that sounds like what I usually offer on my blog? Most of my posts are part of an online Bible study that I write and lead. I’ve also had a number of hot-button posts lately (something quite atypical for me). The one that says most about me lately, however, is this one:

This is a post a wrote about a month ago about contentment…apparently you can’t simply write a post and magically have the content of it be manifest in your life. Go figure. Still actively learning how Godliness + contentmet = great gain.

this post isn’t fun and witty. it isn’t happy or uplifting, but it’s the most honest, raw, and vulnerable post i’ve written. sometimes things happen in life, and we don’t have the answers. but God has a plan, and i trust He will work everything out for the better.

I can tell I’m going to have that song in my head ALL DAY NOW. Thanks, Annie. :) It was fun seeing you Saturday but I wish we could have chatted more. Hopefully some day soon. I wrote this post after the first month of my This Is How We Met series- a collection of friends’ stories on how they met their spouse. Not the course of their relationship but the period of time when they met and didn’t know how it would all work out. I knew the series would be good but I had no idea of knowing how encouraging it would be or what I’d learn in the process:

  30. April 02, 2012 at 11:24 am

Okay so I didn’t know what to go with here. Most of what I write is nonsensical silliness to try and maybe make you laugh. But I recently wrote something actually honest about something relevant. It even scared me. Enjoy!

    My usual goofiness:

  31. April 02, 2012 at 11:49 am

Ok, so I’m kind of cheating because this post isn’t recent. Sadly, my little piece of the internet has been neglected for the last few months but I’m hoping to remedy that.

Anyway, this is definitely one of my favorite posts that I’ve written. It’s me at my most authentic and it’s actually a good touchstone/reminder post for when I’m not at my best self and who God created me to be.

  32. April 02, 2012 at 11:59 am

Have been reading for a long time and just found out we have a mutual friend in common–CC (whose wedding you wrote a post about a few years ago). Thanks for all your godly wisdom and humor!

I don’t actually have my own blog (or rather I do but haven’t posted in about two years and only have three posts because I never really got into it), but I submitted a guest post that got chosen for this blog. It is a story of the way God has worked in my life to helped me grow this year except with all religious references removed.

I somehow missed this post (I was out of town) (My dog ate my homework). Sorry, I simply start making up excuses when I’m nervous.

I read the post then God used to push me to publish a post I’ve had in the edit grave yard. (Do you have those?!? I have SO many half written blog posts.) So here it is. I am so nervous about publishing it because I have many friends sitting all over and around this fence.

I love reading your stories! Here is one of my recent crazy adventures – breaking my arm in a dream. Yikes!

I’ve just recently started blogging. Here’s a post that’s gotten several comments on my Facebook wall. It’s the story of how I became a mom.

Love your blog & love this idea of sharing posts!
